Acknowledging Critical Alerts

Critical bulletins are the highest priority. They demand your immediate attention and require an explicit acknowledgement.

Why Acknowledgement Matters

Critical bulletins typically involve:

  • Active threats — Persons of Concern with recent activity.
  • Immediate safety concerns — Situations requiring team-wide awareness.
  • Urgent policy changes — Time-sensitive operational updates.

Critical bulletins are pinned to your dashboard and will not go away until you acknowledge them.

How to Acknowledge

Step 1: Open the Bulletin

Click on the Critical bulletin from your Dashboard or Bulletins page.

Step 2: Read Carefully

Take time to fully understand:

  • What is the threat or concern?
  • What action (if any) should you take?
  • Are there attached documents to review?

Step 3: Click Acknowledge

At the bottom of the bulletin, click the “Acknowledge” button.

Acknowledgement is a confirmation that you’ve read and understood the information. You’re not signing a contract — just confirming awareness.

Step 4: Confirmation

After acknowledging:

  • The bulletin is unpinned from your dashboard.
  • Your acknowledgement timestamp is recorded.
  • Leadership can verify you’ve seen it.

What Leadership Sees

For Critical bulletins, Safety Leadership has detailed visibility:

  • Who has acknowledged — Individual names and timestamps.
  • Who hasn’t — List of team members still pending.
  • Coverage percentage — “80% of team has acknowledged.”

This ensures the entire team is informed during high-stakes situations.

Can’t Find the Acknowledge Button?

If you don’t see the button:

  • Scroll down — It’s typically at the bottom of the bulletin content.
  • Check for attachments — Some bulletins require you to view attachments first.
  • Refresh the page — Occasionally a reload helps.

If issues persist, contact your Safety Leadership.

Tips

  • Don’t delay — Acknowledge Critical bulletins as soon as you see them.
  • Read attachments — If there’s a PDF, open it before acknowledging.
  • Before serving — Always check for new Critical alerts before your shift.
