Changing Your Password
Keep your account secure by using a strong password and updating it periodically.
When to Change Your Password
- Regularly — Update every 6-12 months as a best practice.
- If compromised — Immediately change if you suspect unauthorized access.
- After sharing — If you ever shared credentials (not recommended).
- Device loss — If you lose a device where you were logged in.
How to Change Your Password
Step 1: Go to Your Profile
Click Profile in the sidebar.
Step 2: Find Security Settings
Look for a “Security” or “Password” section.
Step 3: Click Change Password
Click the “Change Password” button or link.
Step 4: Enter Your Information

| Current Password | Your existing password for verification. |
| New Password | Your new password. |
| Confirm Password | Re-enter the new password to confirm. |
Step 5: Save
Click “Update Password” or “Save”.
You may be logged out and need to sign back in with your new password.
Password Requirements
For security, your password should have:
- At least 8 characters
- A mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
- No common words or patterns (e.g., “password123”)
- Not be reused from other sites
Forgot Your Password?
If you can’t remember your current password:
- Go to the Login page.
- Click “Forgot Password”.
- Enter your email address.
- Check your email for a reset link.
- Follow the link to set a new password.
Password reset links expire after 24 hours. If yours has expired, request a new one.
Security Tips
- Don’t share — Your password is for you only.
- Use a password manager — Generate and store strong passwords.
- Watch for phishing — N4 Safety will never ask for your password via email.
- Log out on shared devices — Don’t stay signed in on public computers.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Current password rejected | Ensure you’re entering it correctly. Try “Forgot Password” if unsure. |
| New password not accepted | Check that it meets the minimum requirements. |
| Didn’t receive reset email | Check spam folder. Verify your email is correct with your Admin. |
