Reading Bulletins

Stay informed by regularly checking your bulletins. Here’s how to navigate and manage them.

Accessing Bulletins

From the Dashboard

Your Dashboard displays a “Bulletins” card showing:

  • Active Critical bulletins (pinned at top)
  • Recent warnings and info updates
  • Unread count indicator

Click any bulletin to open it in full.

From the Bulletins Page

For a complete view:

  1. Click Bulletins in the sidebar.
  2. Browse all active bulletins.
  3. Use filters to find specific types.

Reading a Bulletin

When you open a bulletin, you’ll see:

SectionDescription
TitleBrief summary of the alert.
PriorityCritical (Red), Warning (Yellow), or Info (Blue).
BodyFull details and context.
AttachmentsPDF or image files, if any.
Posted ByWhich leader created the bulletin.
ExpirationWhen the bulletin will automatically archive.

Viewing Attachments

If a bulletin has attachments:

  1. Look for the attachment icon or file list.
  2. Click to preview (PDF, images) directly in the app.
  3. Or click Download to save locally.

Weekly briefing PDFs often contain the most detailed operational information. Don’t skip them!

Read Status

The system tracks whether you’ve viewed each bulletin:

StatusAppearance
UnreadBold title, highlighted background.
ReadNormal text, dimmed or grayed out.

Simply opening a bulletin marks it as read. Leadership can see team-wide read rates.

Person of Concern (POC) Bulletins

Some bulletins link to a Person of Concern profile:

  • The bulletin card displays the person’s primary photo.
  • Their status is shown (Watch, Warned, CTW Active, Banned).
  • Click the photo or name to view their full POC profile.

POC bulletins are highly sensitive. The information is confidential and should not be shared outside the safety team.

Bulletin Expiration

Bulletins have expiration dates. When expired:

  • They’re removed from active view.
  • They remain in the archive for audit purposes.
  • Leadership can extend or reactivate if needed.

Tips

  • Check daily — Especially before serving, review any new bulletins.
  • Don’t dismiss Critical items — They require acknowledgement before disappearing.
  • Review attachments — Important details are often in the attached files.
