Policies & Resources
The Policies section is your central hub for organizational guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and downloadable resources.
What’s the Difference?
| Type | Purpose | Action Required |
|---|---|---|
| Policies | Official rules and procedures you must follow. | Acknowledgement required. |
| Resources | Reference materials for your use. | Download only — no acknowledgement. |
Policies
What Are Policies?
Policies are formal documents that govern how your safety team operates. They might cover:
- Use of Force guidelines
- Communication protocols
- Incident reporting procedures
- Firearms handling (if applicable)
- Confidentiality agreements
Required Policies apply to all active members. You must acknowledge them to maintain good standing.
Policy Versions
Policies can be updated over time. When a new version is published:
- You’ll see it marked as “New Version”.
- Your previous acknowledgement expires.
- You’ll need to re-acknowledge the updated policy.
Acknowledgement Renewal
Some policies require annual renewal. Even if the content hasn’t changed, you may need to re-acknowledge periodically.
Resources
What Are Resources?
Resources are operational reference materials that don’t require acknowledgement:
| Type | Examples |
|---|---|
| Maps | Campus layouts, emergency exits, staging areas. |
| Forms | Incident report templates, contact lists. |
| Manuals | Equipment guides, training references. |
| SOPs | Standard operating procedures (advisory). |
Accessing Resources
Resources appear in the same section as Policies. Look for items marked as “Resource” rather than “Policy”.
