Compliance Tracking Overview

N4 Safety uses a dynamic compliance system to help you and your leadership maintain situational awareness of training, certifications, and other requirements. This guide explains how compliance tracking works.

What is Compliance?

Compliance refers to meeting the requirements set by your organization for your role. These requirements might include:

  • Background checks
  • Training certifications (CPR, First Aid, De-escalation)
  • Firearms qualifications (if applicable)
  • Policy acknowledgements

Each requirement has a status that contributes to your overall Readiness State.

Understanding Your Readiness State

Your readiness is displayed as a color-coded indicator on your dashboard and profile.

ColorStateMeaning
🟢 GreenReadyAll compliance items are valid and up to date.
🟡 YellowExpiring SoonOne or more items are expiring within 30 days.
🟠 OrangeAction RequiredOne or more items are expired or missing.
🔴 RedBlockedYour account status is Ineligible or Inactive.

[!TIP] Check your dashboard regularly. A Yellow status is a friendly reminder to renew items before they expire.

Where to View Your Compliance

  1. Navigate to My Profile from the sidebar.
  2. Scroll to the Compliance section.
  3. You’ll see a list of all requirements assigned to you, grouped by track.

[!NOTE] Onboarding Visibility: Items from the “Onboarding” track (like your initial background check information) remain visible in your history even after you become a full member. This allows you to verify your original qualification dates.

Each item displays:

  • The requirement name
  • Current status (Valid, Expiring, Expired, Missing, Pending Review)
  • Expiration date (if applicable)
